Basics

When is Check In?

Sundays 3-4pm.  (except mini week which is Tuesday 3pm)

When is Pick up?

Friday 5:30.  Bring your ID

Can my kid bring their phone?

Campers are not allowed phones at camp.  Phones brought to camp are collected and stored in the office.  International campers often get a small amount of access on stay-over weekends

Medication rule:

Medications need to be in original container and follow prescriped times / dosing / purpose.  General medications are stored locked at our health center.  Emergency meds (inhalers / epi-pens) are carried with your kids counselor

Finance

Does the camp offer Financial Aid?

We strive to serve any kid / family that wants to come to camp.  If you're new to camp, you'll need to create an account in out "Ultracamp" registration software and fill out our FA form within our online registration (linked here). You can also email eairhart@ymcastark.org for more FA information

Are there camp discounts?

We only offer discounts for early registration and YMCA memberships.  We do offer "Refer a Friend" incentives for bringing new campers to camp

Cabins

​Can I bunk with a friend?

We strive to honor 2 cabinmate requests per person

My Child wants to be in a different age session with their friends.  Do you make exceptions?

We do offer near age exceptions on case by case basis.  Give us a call!

Equestrian

Will my child be able to ride a horse if they aren't in Horse Camp or Lazy T Ranch?

We strive to get every kid/teen a chance to ride.  Our youngest campers might get a haltered "pony" ride in the arena, older advetnure and Ranger teens a chance for a trail ride.

Is there a "Horse show" for Horse Campers? 

Yes.  Horse camp parents may arrive early on Friday 4:45 to see what their child has been working on

Is there a "Horse show" for Lazy T Ranch campers?

No.  Lazy T teens help put on a "Rodeo" for all of camp.  We're sorry - but parents are not invited.
